SUPPORT ACTIVITIES IN TRANSITION
Individual assistance was received by:
- 193 trans individuals
- 23 parents of these individuals
Group support was used by:
- Support group for trans/queer teenagers:
- 13 people,
- an average of 8 people per meeting,
- once a week
- Support group for parents of trans/queer people:
- 48 people,
- an average of 20 people,
- once a month
- Meetings for people 21+:
- 19 people,
- an average of 7 people,
- once a week
- In the safe space (community center)
- 42 people,
- an average of 25 people,
- twice a week, plus occasional trips to the theater, exhibitions, mushroom picking, for treats, on Children's Day, etc.
In total, over the year we provided/financed 1031 units of assistance (hours, visits, sessions) with a total value of 192,000 PLN. By spending 86,000 PLN, our specialists working pro bono provided assistance worth 106,000 PLN.
This includes:
- 100 psychosexual evaluation visits for transgenderism
- issuance of 15 psychiatric opinions for transition
- 30 visits to sexologists for opinions and hormone treatment
- 9 visits to endocrinologists
- referral of 42 people to a fast-track endocrinology path on the National Health Fund (NFZ)
- 171 hours of long-term psychological therapy
- purchase of drugs for a total of 21 months of hormone treatment
- purchase of psychiatric drugs for 2 months of treatment
- 14 packages of laboratory tests
- 27 binders
- 109 hours of consultations for explaining, planning, and managing transitions
- 16 legal aid sessions regarding transition or name change, writing lawsuits and applications
- 19 hours of legal aid in discrimination cases
- 68 crisis intervention sessions for 17 people
- 8 neurodiversity diagnosis visits
- 6 depilation sessions (feminization of appearance)
- 3 people for logistical-administrative assistance for cases to be heard by a court that does not cause issues
- several meetings with municipal, medical, and educational institutions as social assistance for trans people in handling social matters
We do not count the phone calls received, conversations via messengers, SMS, because it is impossible.
We also organized a large clothing fitting/giveaway for trans people and three editions of Trans Clothing Days, as well as shipping for those in need in small towns where they cannot comfortably go to the women's section in a store, for example.
Before Christmas 2022 - Vegayla for queer people and their loved ones who want to create a Family of Choice.
EVENTS
25-03-2023 First National Transgender Day of Visibility, Poznań
On the initiative and coordination of Lambda Polska, 30 entities from all over Poland and abroad joined as co-organizers / partners / patrons. Over one hundred people participated in the preparation and execution of the Day, with a physical audience of about 2,000 people plus another 2,000 online and on livestreams.
